Huckabee ekes out win in Louisiana's GOP primary |

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee served notice Saturday that he has not received the memo about Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) being the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, winning the primary in Louisiana, a caucus in Kansas and putting up a fight in Washington.

While it is mathematically nearly impossible for Huckabee to gain enough delegates to win the GOP nomination, he threw a wrench in McCain’s plans to cruise to the delegation. Less than a week after the Arizona senator took a commanding lead in the race, Huckabee showed in nominating contests across the country that he is not throwing in the towel.
“I know the pundits, and I know what they say: The math doesn’t work out,” the former governor told a conservative group Saturday. “Well, I didn’t major in math, I majored in miracles. And I still believe in those, too.”
He won the Kansas caucus by a landslide earlier in the day and, at the end of the night, was projected to win the Louisiana primary against McCain. With 99 percent of precincts reporting, Huckabee led McCain 44 percent to 42 percent.
