C-SPAN will launch an online "convention hub" later this month for both parties' conventions, the network announced today, seeking to make them more accessible by aggregating blog coverage and availing users with viral footage.

The hub will offer embeddable convention footage, which users can post on their own sites; feature live Twitter feeds; offer linkable access to the network's complete video archive; and track credentialed bloggers' coverage of the Denver and Minneapolis extravaganzas.

C-SPAN's online hub will consist of two sites, which will launch on the network's politics page.

The network hopes the site will become a central resource for online discussion of the conventions, C-SPAN Co-President Susan Swain said in the network's release.
